Kevin Schawntz and Mark Kully at the Dainese SF D-store grand opening OCT 20TH 2007 where Kevin signed the original painting I did of him my tribute to the most exciting grand prix racer of all time.
I met Kevin the weekend of his Yoshimura Suzuki debut at Willow Springs CA. And the first singed print will be donated to racing 2 save lives for auction.
Please check out there web site and thank you for supporting Kevin's and one of my new charities. |

My mission is to create these watercolor images for as long as possible and to donate as much money as I can to help others while doing something productive with my time at home. It's great therapy for me!
Giving back has been a goal of mine for many years, and now I have found a way to help out while doing something I love (painting).
Thank you for helping me to help my charity charity:
AFM Air Fence Fund
Sincerely,
Mark Kully
About Mark & His Story
Mark decided to race bikes in 1981 he had already earned the nickname "Hot Le Dog" from racing greats Dave Emde, Don Greene, and Mark "Jaws" Engalls.
Many years, races, and memories later 'Le Dog' is, as ever, in love with motorcycles, racing and racers. "Everything about the lifestyle is what I love" says Kully.
Now disabled by a disease (ALS) that is robbing him of the control of his muscles. Mark has focused his energy on giving back to the sport that he loves and bringing out the facts about motor neuron disease, seems like the most important race of all.
This idea, to create, with watercolor, classic images of great riders is a Hot Shoes' tribute to the greatest sport on earth, Motorcycle Racing!
About the Site:
This site was put together for Mark Kully, an X- AFM / AMA pro Road
Racer on behalf of The Mojotown Project. The Mojotown Project is a
separate division of Mojotown.com and is a 501(c)(3), public service,
charitable organization committed to providing charitable marketing,
advertising and multimedia services to qualified nonprofit
organizations.
In
2006 The Mojotown Project donated a site on behalf of Vincent Haskovec
for the 3J's and helped raise over 50k with online ticket sales, the
end result was that the 3J's handed Vincent a check for 100,000 after
the days riding and auctions were all done. "Giving back to our sport
means allot to me", Michael Aron of Mojotown.
While Mark is not
a non-profit, he is an x- AMA / AFM racer who is now suffering from
ALS and has recently turned his energy to the arts as a form of
therapy. Mark is slowly loosing the mobility in his hands and the
abililty to walk for long distances.
To those who knew Mark in
the 80's know that he was a force to be reckoned with, racing with such
legends as Rich Oliver, Donny Green, Dave Edme, Scott Grey and more....
Mark wants to give back where he can, so he has chosen to donate $1 from every card sold online to the AFM Air Fence Fund.
About the AFM Air Fence Fund
The
AFM Inc. Board has setup an Airfence Fund for the AFM in order to
purchase about 600 feet of Airfence to cover several turns at Infineon
Raceway. The total cost is estimated at $75-80K, so it will take the
financial assistance of a lot of AFMers and AFM related businesses to
make this happen.
The money will be collected through the AFM
Benevolent Fund and other methods. Keep in mind that donations to the
Benevolent Fund can be considered a charitable contribution - as
always, check with your personal tax advisor for specific questions.
Thanks in advance for your support of this worthy cause!
Look for Mark at most of the AFM races and help support his cause and our sport. |
